Our portfolio of products and services ranges from high-tech and precision concepts to fully automated industrial production solutions.
Established on two sites, in La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE) and Boudry (NE), IMA Automation Switzerland has a wide range of skills and is looking for YOUR TALENT to complete its teams.
At our Boudry site, attached to the Mechanical Engineering department, your mission is to carry out the analysis of critical processes (processes with a high level of technical risk or critical for the client’s product) and design solutions for the development, assembly monitoring, commissioning and validation of these processes relying on other engineering departments.
Your main responsibilities are:
- For critical process stations, define mechatronic concepts and theoretically size the elements in agreement with the various IMA departments, the equipment, solutions and associated OEMs. Prepare design documents in agreement with the project validation engineer. Organise and monitor process activities on one or more client projects. Ensure that process activities and deliverables are adequately planned in the project schedule.
- Write test protocols and reports, execute or organise their execution. Perform calibration of critical process stations: design, procedures, executions and reports. Provide information and support for documentation for the writing of manuals and SOPs. Provide the necessary training required by our clients.
- Propose and write process offers to meet client needs while respecting the IMA Automation strategy. Participate in the preparation of offers for critical processes. Participate in estimating the hours required for the process to complete the project.
- Prepare and monitor the project’s Earned Value Management (EVM). Submit and comment on EVM indicators to the project manager and manager. Maintain direct contact with clients regarding critical process topics identified during the offer phase or throughout the project.
- Read the URS, complete the requirements matrix. Establish the link between the client product’s quality attributes and the key process criteria and parameters. Define and present the basic process concepts to the client and agree with them on the control strategy.
- Manage the models and instructions of Process Engineering documents. Propose and participate in improvements of these models. Provide training to internal staff informing HR for the monitoring of polyvalences. Improve existing processes based on client or workshop feedback.
- Explain critical assembly and wiring points to MAP and EMT teams. Work with software teams for configuration and/or interfaces of OEM elements. Configure and debug elements. Attend various machine test and performance runs, analyse data from these runs to improve critical processes.
- Acquire knowledge of new strategic processes. Follow market technological evolution and update technical choices related to the process. Develop and use numerical simulations to predict and optimise processes.
