About the job

The Blood Donation SRK Northwest Switzerland, as a foundation of the Swiss Red Cross, ensures the life-saving supply of blood products throughout the entire region. With the largest immunohaematological laboratory in Northwest Switzerland and one of the few research departments in this field nationwide, we set standards in transfusion medicine. Our Basel location, as one of only three stem cell and bone marrow collection centres in Switzerland, holds national significance and maintains a close partnership with the University Hospital Basel. The extensive supply network stretches from Basel city centre through the cantonal hospitals Aarau, Baden and Olten to the Bürgerspital Solothurn, Zofingen Hospital and Muri. In addition, we conduct over 230 mobile blood donation campaigns per year in communities, companies and schools.

To support our team, which travels directly to people in communities, companies and schools from Aarau with the blood donation bus, we are looking for a medical professional with leadership experience as

Team Leader Blood Collection 50%

These are your main tasks

• Participation in routine operations (assessment of donor eligibility, collection of whole blood donations, care of donors)

• Planning and execution of mobile blood donation campaigns

• Personnel management of around 10 employees

• Induction, training and development of employees

• Personnel deployment planning

• Responsibility for quality management and compliance with regulations as well as GMP guidelines in the area

• Collaboration in cross-departmental projects

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a certified nurse HF or higher
• Initial leadership experience
• Enjoyment in working with healthy people
• Focused, efficient working style as well as high social and professional competence
• Time flexibility and independence regarding deployment planning
• Confident IT application skills
