Your responsibilities
- As Deputy Headteacher, you will lead the school operationally as well as in educational, personnel and organisational matters in collaboration with the two Co-Headteachers and three Deputy Headteachers.
- You share responsibility for the overall development of the school and take on leadership tasks (e.g. through MAGs).
- You are responsible for the school’s ICT.
- You take on the class supervision of two year groups in the Maturity Department (absences, holidays, disciplinary matters, individual measures) and ensure successful relationships between students and class and subject teachers.
- You plan and organise the Maturity examinations.
Your background
- You take on leadership responsibility and are at the same time a team player. You are flexible and resilient.
- You have strong presentation skills, maintain appreciative communication and approach people with openness and empathy.
- You work solution-oriented and enjoy tackling complex organisational tasks.
- You have a pedagogical qualification and teaching experience at secondary level II.
- You are familiar with contemporary pedagogical developments in the field of grammar schools and are committed to innovative education.
- You bring experience in leading projects and ideally already have leadership experience. You have completed school leadership training or are willing to undertake it.

Gymnasium Liestal
At Gymnasium Liestal (Maturity Department and FMS) around 190 teachers teach. The aim of the demanding teaching is to bring around 1250 students to university entrance qualification or to enable them to complete a demanding vocational training.
