About us
Barmelweid is the leading specialist and rehabilitation clinic in Northwestern Switzerland and the largest psychosomatic-psychotherapeutic clinic in Switzerland. The Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy has over 100 beds. A psychotherapeutic day clinic is also part of the offering. The Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy defines itself in its self-image as psychotherapeutically based and at the same time a somatically integrating clinical facility. Close cooperation with somatic specialist disciplines of the Barmelweid Clinic is established, enabling the treatment of people with multimorbid somatic diseases as well as psychopathological disorders.
Barmelweid employs over 750 staff. It is located at about 800 meters altitude on a clearing in the Aargau Jura and is embedded in a unique environment with a nature park.
