Would you like to actively shape the IT infrastructure of a renowned company in Central Switzerland as a System Engineer? We are looking for a committed System Engineer with a focus on Workplace & Infrastructure for our client. You will manage and further develop infrastructure platforms such as virtualisation, storage, and backup. Additionally, you will automate processes and participate in exciting IT projects. Your Tasks
- You operate and further develop the server, virtualisation, storage, and backup platforms, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
- You install, configure, and maintain workplace computers and peripheral devices, ensuring optimal working conditions for employees.
- You assist in managing user accounts and access rights to ensure the availability of the correct resources.
- In 1st and 2nd level support, you analyse and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring reliable operation of ICT services.
- You develop and optimise automations to standardise and increase the efficiency of workplace and infrastructure platforms.
- You carefully document support requests and solutions to ensure seamless tracking and a knowledge base.
- You actively participate in IT projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT systems.
- You perform on-call duties in rotation, ensuring system availability.
Our Requirements
- You have completed an IT apprenticeship or have equivalent, several years of professional experience.
- You have solid experience in workplace, Microsoft 365, virtualisation, storage, and backup.
- You possess fluent German skills and command technical English, both spoken and written.
- You hold a valid category B driving licence (car).
- You feel at home both at employees’ workplaces and in the server room and understand how workplace and infrastructure interact.
- You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) as well as PowerShell.
- You have experience with hybrid scenarios (on-premises and Azure Cloud).
- You bring good conceptual skills, tackle topics with initiative and commitment, and convince through an independent and precise working style.
