Networks are best understood by working with them daily. This is exactly the opportunity you get as a Junior LAN/WLAN Engineer in a broadly positioned ICT company. A well-coordinated team will take you along, explain contexts and let you get hands-on early on. Besides switching and WLAN, you will also gain insight into server and private cloud topics. This way, you will grow professionally step by step into more responsibility.
Responsibilities:
You take over monitoring, operation and maintenance of the nationwide network infrastructure.
You configure switches, WLAN access points and other components and manage them.
You actively assist with rollouts and network projects.
Furthermore, you carry out changes and planned maintenance work.
You investigate network-related faults thoroughly and bring them to a clean resolution.
Additionally, you keep the technical documentation up to date and continuously improve it.
Qualifications:
Your foundation is a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) as an IT specialist, preferably platform development or system technology, or an equivalent qualification.
You have already gained initial experience with network technology, whether in training, internship or job.
You know the basics of routing, VLAN and TCP/IP and want to delve deeper.
Challenging technical problems motivate you, and you approach them methodically.
In addition, you enjoy exchanging ideas with team colleagues and internal stakeholders.
You are also willing to occasionally work at other company locations and hold a category B driving licence.
