Your role with us

You are fully responsible for our mobile app. Not just ticking off tickets in a large team, but the freedom and responsibility to technically shape the platform. Our offshore team supports you, but the lead is yours: architecture, implementation, releases and quality.

And because we are still small at the moment, this is more than just a developer role. We complement and represent each other – you are involved in product decisions, sometimes stand at a trade fair or a startup event at the booth, and grow with the company. We are looking for someone with a founding member mentality, not someone who just processes orders.

What you can achieve with us

• Independent development of our cross-platform app with React Native for iOS and Android, focusing on performance and UX.
• Integration with our Azure backend: fetching and caching data from Cosmos DB or the Azure SQL platform.
• Communication with RESTful APIs.
• Preparation and visualisation of (time series) data in the form of charts.
• Building a robust user management system according to best practices.
• Development of a clean and efficient UI while adhering to all React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript standards.
• Configuration, development and use of Azure DevOps for CI/CD processes.
• Technical leadership of our offshore team in India: you set the direction, review and maintain quality control.
• Contributing beyond code: product decisions, roadmap and strategy development.

What you bring

You already have several years of practical experience and can independently bring an app from architecture to the store. A senior title is not a requirement – your experience counts.

• Several years of practical experience in developing cross-platform apps with React Native.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience in integrating Azure services, especially Cosmos DB.
• Experience with data visualisation and the use of libraries such as Victory Native, React Native Charts or D3.js (advantageous).
• Experience with Azure DevOps and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience publishing apps in the App Store and Play Store.
• Expertise in building user management systems, including authentication and authorisation (e.g. with Azure Active Directory).
• Experience in performance optimisation and testing of React Native apps (e.g. with Jest, Detox, Azure DevOps).
• High quality awareness and focus on clean, maintainable code.
• Independent and responsible working style: you are responsible for app development. Our offshore team supports you, but the leadership lies with you.
• Desire to think along, participate in decisions and occasionally take on tasks outside of coding in a small team.
