METAS – or the Federal Institute of Metrology – is the reference institute in Switzerland for measurements and measuring instruments. To ensure that a litre is always a litre (for example when you fill up), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments and provides advice to the economy, research and administration. A trusted source, especially socially and politically, metrological accuracy is essential in many areas: road traffic, electricity billing, time dissemination, measurements for the environment and health, etc. In short, at METAS, disciplines have been meeting and interacting since 1862.
Your new challenges
- You assist management and executives by providing and analysing management information in a relevant manner
- You improve existing reporting systems in terms of efficiency, transparency and quality. Additionally, you contribute to the continuous development of cost accounting
- You are jointly responsible for the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual closings in SAP-CO/PS, as well as for the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts
- You share responsibility for project accounting for internal services as well as for national and international research project accounting with financial reports (e.g. National Fund, Horizon Europe, EPM, Innosuisse)
- You ensure the link with the financial accounting department for closing tasks as well as with the human resources department
Your profile
- You hold either a degree in business management (university, university of applied sciences), or the federal diploma in finance and accounting or an equivalent recognised qualification
- You have at least 10 years of professional experience as a management controller in the industrial sector; experience in project controlling would be an additional asset
- You work independently and analytically, and appreciate exchanges within a team
- You act responsibly, know how to assert yourself and have very good language skills (German, French, English)
- You have solid IT knowledge as a user of SAP (responsibility for SAP modules – FI/CO/PS), Business Objects (SAP BO) as well as great proficiency with Excel and other MS Office products
