About the job
Your Responsibilities
- You act as the primary interface between the company and the assigned key account customers, build long-term relationships and represent the organisation in all relevant business areas
- You develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer organisations, their processes and requirements to identify business opportunities and expand the company’s business share
- You proactively monitor market developments, customer activities and competitor trends to support strategic decisions and company growth
- You continuously develop, implement and update key account strategies as well as customer-related action plans in line with company objectives
- You prepare customer reviews and strategic meetings, coordinate and lead these to strengthen partnerships and promote sustainable business development
- You support and coordinate commercial activities, including negotiations, offer preparation, tender management and follow-up to successfully secure business opportunities
- You work closely with management, sales teams and other internal stakeholders to align customer requirements with the company’s capabilities and priorities
- You monitor commercial performance and contribute to revenue and profitability growth in line with management expectations
- You ensure compliance with applicable defence, security and regulatory requirements and handle sensitive information at all times with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality
Your Profile
- You have a university degree in a commercial or technical field or an equivalent qualification, complemented by relevant professional experience in sales
- You bring several years of experience in a comparable position and have a proven track record in managing strategic customer relationships and achieving commercial goals
- You possess in-depth knowledge of the defence and military goods market
- You have a solid understanding of the regulatory, security-related and compliance requirements applicable to the defence industry and are able to assess risks, recognise decision boundaries and escalate matters appropriately
- You have a strong security and compliance awareness, handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly and consistently apply established rules and procedures even under pressure
- You communicate precisely and professionally, appear confident towards authorities, auditors and security-relevant stakeholders, and work effectively in matrix and project-oriented organisations
- You are characterised by a strong commercial and customer-oriented mindset. Your committed and open personality as well as your excellent communication, adaptability, leadership and stakeholder management skills distinguish you. You present yourself as resilient, confident and assertive.
- You have fluent English and German skills; French skills are an advantage
