The State Archive of the Canton of Zurich (www.staatsarchiv.zh.ch) is the central archive of the canton and its legal predecessors with archive holdings spanning 1150 years. It preserves original documents and makes them accessible to the public.
For the Access and Mediation Department, we are looking for a
Specialist Information and Documentation 80%
Your tasks
- You are responsible for the training of I + D apprentices (vocational and practical training)
- You advise and supervise users in the reading room area (support with research, processing digital orders, answering written inquiries)
- You assist with the (re-)cataloging of analog and digital archive holdings
Your profile
- Completed university of applied sciences degree as an I + D specialist
- Professional experience in the archival field
- Experience in training apprentices
- Service-oriented, friendly, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a team, independence, and personal responsibility
- Written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of the structures of the Canton of Zurich and Zurich history
