Empowering people. Creating products together. Opening up perspectives – as the specialist leader of the workshop and workshop manufactory
For our workshop, we are seeking a social pedagogical professional who enjoys craft activities and can lead people clearly, appreciatively and reliably in everyday work. A technical or craft background is welcome. Social pedagogues with a basic technical understanding, practical experience and a willingness to further develop their skills are also encouraged to apply.
Tasks:
You will lead and accompany a group of around ten participants in the daily workshop routine. Together, you will produce appealing manufactory products for our shop and develop new product ideas.
It is about more than just the finished product: the participants learn to plan tasks, take responsibility, work carefully and keep agreements. You design work processes so that success experiences are possible and concrete development steps arise.
Our pedagogical basis is the STEPUP concept. It combines clear structures, practical action, feedback and reflection. You provide orientation, set comprehensible expectations and support the participants in acting increasingly independently.
- You plan and structure the daily tasks for around ten participants.
- You lead craft activities and the production of manufactory products.
- You develop products for our shop together with the participants and ensure quality and careful execution.
- You promote labour market-relevant skills such as independence, reliability, cooperation and perseverance.
- You agree on individual development goals, provide concrete feedback and review progress.
- You conduct entry, status and exit interviews and document the development of the participants.
- You ensure a safe, orderly workshop operation and responsible handling of tools, machines and materials.
- You work closely with other specialist areas and vocational integration and help shape the further development of STEPUP.
Profile:
- A completed qualification in social pedagogy HF/FH or a comparable pedagogical qualification.
- Basic technical understanding and enjoyment of craft work. An additional technical or craft qualification is an advantage.
- Experience in accompanying and guiding people, ideally in a work-pedagogical or social integration environment.
- The ability to lead a group, consider different prerequisites and communicate clear expectations.
- A structured, reliable working style as well as creativity and a sense for appealing products.
- The willingness to reflect on one’s own actions and to develop further both professionally and practically.
- Confidence in using digital work tools and in written documentation.
What you can expect from us
A varied role at the interface of social pedagogy, craft and work integration. You will shape a work area where people can discover their abilities, take responsibility and create visible results. You bring your ideas into the workshop manufactory and contribute to the implementation and further development of our STEPUP concept.
