Background:
As an employee in the "Construction Site Services" team, you work in the "Operate and Maintain Assets" area at the Basel / Kaiseraugst site.
The "Operate and Maintain Assets" area of Roche Pharma at the Basel / Kaiseraugst site has the purpose "We do asset care - for smooth operation of the site, buildings, and systems".
As a member of the Construction Site Services team, you work with thirteen colleagues. You are the interface between the project and the executing companies on the construction site. The scope of duties includes planning, leadership, and organisation of construction sites, supervising the executing companies, as well as quality and cost control of the work performed in the EMSR specialist area. As an important part of the projects, you ensure the execution and handover of the projects you manage to the plant operator, thus ensuring a high standard of our products and services. In the strictly regulated pharmaceutical environment, you also ensure with your experience that the required quality standards in the GMP environment are adhered to on the construction site and in the documentation.
Our team is looking for a person in the electrical and automation sector. Candidates with completed vocational training and many years of professional experience, as well as further training as a master craftsman or technician or similar in the field of electrical engineering with several years of professional experience, are preferred.
The ideal candidate has a basic electrical engineering education with further training (e.g. HF, technician, master craftsman, or electrical project manager) and at least 3 years of professional experience in project management and construction site leadership of EMSR and electrical installation systems in industry. In addition to proven experience as a Construction Manager in the pharmaceutical environment, the person brings solid knowledge in construction site safety, the NIN/NIV standards, and basic GMP knowledge. The profile is rounded off by very good German skills, solid IT skills (Google Suite, MS Office, ideally SAP), and English and French skills are advantageous.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Construction site planning, organisation, leadership, and coordination
• Supervision of external company employees
• Quality control in the specialist trades of automation, electrical, and also cross-disciplinary
• Reporting in coordination with local engineering
• Implementation of construction site safety according to Roche specifications
• Commissioning and support of external companies until defect rectification
• Hand-over of the completed trade in cooperation with local engineering
• Input in trade-specific planning (e.g. manufacturers, materials, etc.)
• Input in planning regarding schedules and construction progress during the CC phase
• Control and evaluation of offers and specifications
• Obtaining offers and indicative price quotations
• Participation in awarding contracts to executing companies
• Reviewing / checking revision documents
Must Haves:
• Completed vocational training and ideally further training or equivalent in electrical engineering (project leader / technician / master craftsman / HF electrical engineering)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in project management of electrical and automation systems (EMSR)
• Experience as a CM in the EMSR field and pharmaceutical environment is mandatory
• Basic GMP knowledge
• Experience and work in the electrical installation sector in industry
• Knowledge of construction site safety
• Experience in construction site leadership
• Experience in project management
• Good knowledge of low-voltage installation standards NIN, NIV
• Good knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office, process engineering knowledge and SAP knowledge are desirable
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form are required, English and French skills are advantageous
Nice to haves:
• Knowledge in occupational safety, SiGeKo or safety assistant/expert etc.
• Basic knowledge in fire protection, possibly courses concerning ventilation systems etc.
• Knowledge in construction site logistics
• Knowledge in plant automation, automation systems Siemens, Sauter etc.
• Knowledge in VT installations, pipe classes, standards etc.
• Knowledge of Roche documentation, Elvis, SAP, technical places etc.
