To complete the team of the Center for International History and Political Studies of Globalization (CRHIM), the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (SSP) is offering a position:
Graduate Assistant in International Relations
Job Information
Start date: 01.08.2026 (to be agreed)
Contract duration: 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years
Work rate: 100%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny, Geopolis building
Salary: salary scale
Your Activities
In your role, you will be expected to:
- 50% of the work rate is reserved for conducting personal research under the responsibility of one of the teaching staff in charge of the field of study.
- The remaining 50% of the work rate is dedicated to supporting teaching tasks (under the responsibility of the professors of the Center for International History and Political Studies of Globalization (CRHIM)); as well as participating in CRHIM activities.

Your Profile
- Master's degree in political science, or equivalent qualification;
- Excellent command of English and French, ability to work in a French-speaking environment, including supervising students;
- Familiarity with the field of international relations;
- Interest in international environmental policies;
- Excellent command of qualitative methods;
- Ability to work independently and to manage administrative and research activities while respecting deadlines.
