Assistant Physician for the Nephrology-Hypertension Service
We are looking for an assistant physician between 80% and 100% for the Nephrology-Hypertension Service. The activity will be both clinical (60%) and research (40%).
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Our Nephrology Service cares for patients suffering from kidney disease or arterial hypertension. The medical team provides prevention advice, performs examinations, and prescribes drug treatments.
It defines dialysis sessions both for outpatients at the Dialysis Centre and for inpatients at CHUV.
We also have a very versatile clinical and research activity covering all aspects of nephrology and hypertension involving collaborations with various hospital-university services and research institutes.
Mission
- You ensure, under the supervision of a senior consultant or a senior physician, specialised hypertension consultations for outpatients or inpatients
- You participate in the diagnostic evaluation of patients
- You interpret 24-hour blood pressure measurements
- You handle administrative activities related to the aforementioned clinical activity
- You assist and intervene in various training seminars
- You ensure the follow-up of clinical studies in hypertension
- You are part of the team participating in on-call duties and standby (weekends, public holidays)
Profile
- You hold a Swiss federal medical diploma or a title recognised by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions (MEBEKO)
- You have at least 2 years of hospital practice experience
- You wish to deepen your knowledge in the specialty of hypertension
- You are autonomous and curious
- You know how to integrate into the team thanks to your excellent communication skills
- You master common office tools (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
- You have proficiency in French (minimum B2) and English (B2)
