You can contribute this role

• Carefully and quality-oriented manufacture, repair and adjust textile and leather-based equipment items of the Swiss Army
• Check material and equipment for visible damage and initiate necessary work steps according to clear instructions
• Operate machines and tools professionally after introduction and independently carry out simple maintenance work
• Process work orders according to instructions, correctly record services in the SAP system and report back on time
• Participate in material issuances and returns as well as advise and serve internal customers in a friendly and solution-oriented manner
• Consistently comply with work, health and environmental protection requirements and contribute to a safe and orderly workshop operation

What makes you unique

• Training in saddlery not necessarily required; manual dexterity as well as completed vocational training or practical experience in a craft environment advantageous
• Careful and precise working method, good technical understanding and interest in processing leather and textile materials
• Willingness to familiarise yourself with new work areas, absorb internal expertise and continuously develop your own skills
• Independent and structured working style, ability to set priorities sensibly as well as reliable and punctual work
• Responsible, team-oriented working style and willingness to actively contribute to a safe and orderly workshop operation
• Basic IT user skills and willingness to familiarise yourself with the SAP system

The Logistics Base of the Swiss Army (LBA) is there for the troops. It provides all logistical services for the Swiss Army and manages the material, systems and infrastructures of the Swiss Army with its around 3,500 employees and 12,000 militia members.
