Tasks
Presence and Public Safety: The Mobile Traffic Police ensures a visible traffic police presence and undertakes a variety of tasks in public spaces. This includes escorting VIPs and demonstrations as well as planning, coordinating and conducting traffic controls, also in the tri-border area. To strengthen our team, we are looking for several committed employees. The start date is by arrangement.
Monitoring and Accident Recording: You will take on traffic police patrol duties with various operational means such as patrol cars, unmarked video vehicles or motorcycles. You will carry out preventive and repressive monitoring of traffic flow with targeted traffic police controls. You will take on the recording, processing and documentation of complex traffic accidents. You will prepare reports and statements for the responsible investigative authorities.
Specialisation in the Areas of: You will apply your expertise in heavy traffic, vehicle technology/tuning (VTS), hazardous goods, professional passenger transport as well as working and rest times and ensure data security of vehicles (EDR).
What to Expect from Us: We offer you a thorough, practical introduction to specialised traffic police areas as well as targeted training and further education. This includes task-related driving training with motorcycles, cars and trucks as well as support in obtaining necessary driving licences if required. Profile
Experience: You have solid experience in police work and ideally already possess initial knowledge of road traffic law or traffic monitoring. You are used to keeping a cool head even in hectic situations and writing precise reports.
Personality: You are a flexible individual with high social competence, empathy and great resilience. High commitment, willingness to shape and good communication and conflict skills characterise you. You are a team player and eager to continue learning. You are open-minded and have a strong affinity for vehicle technology. Willingness to work shifts and on-call duty is a matter of course for you.
Education: You have completed police training (Federal Certificate of Competence).
Language: You have very good command of German, both spoken and written. Knowledge of another foreign language is an advantage.
