Responsibilities:

• Prepare dishes and menus according to seasons, products, clientele, etc.
• Create recipes, try various products to renew the restaurant menu, apply dietary principles for healthy and balanced nutrition
• Assess the quantities of goods to order based on recipes, bookings and sales forecasts
• Check delivered foodstuffs and determine their quality according to known criteria (origin, cultivation method, freshness, etc.)
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of food to be cooked: peel vegetables, wash them, cut meat, determine the quantity of various ingredients, etc.
• Prepare dishes that complement the menu: soup, salad, meat, vegetables, dessert, etc., using appropriate equipment and utensils
• Apply various cooking methods: blanch, sauté, poach, stew, braise, gratinate, roast, grill, etc.
• Carefully garnish dishes or plates; pass them to the service staff

Profile and experience:

• Compulsory schooling completed
• Previous kitchen internships completed
• Strong passion for cooking
• Very good knowledge of French (spoken and written)
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Open to working in an international and multicultural environment
• Good stress resistance
• Flexibility and strong motivation
