Network Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
You want to not only manage networks but make them more secure, efficient and future-proof? This position combines modern network architecture with cyber security and offers plenty of scope for technically strong personalities.
Responsibilities:
Development and continuous optimisation of modern network and security architectures
Planning, engineering and implementation of new network platforms and security solutions
Further development of highly available LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructures
Design and optimisation of firewall, network access control and security concepts
Analysis of complex network environments and identification of performance and security risks
Implementation of segmentation and zero-trust concepts
Integration of modern technologies such as SD-WAN, SASE and network automation
Collaboration with IT infrastructure, cloud and security teams on technical transformation projects
Evaluation of new products, platforms and network technologies
Automation of recurring network processes with modern tools and APIs
Qualifications:
Completed studies in computer science, cyber security, computer engineering or comparable technical education
Several years of experience in engineering enterprise networks
Sound knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching and WLAN
Practical experience with firewalls, network security and modern access concepts
Understanding of cloud networking and hybrid IT infrastructures
Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba or comparable platforms is an advantage
Interest in automation, infrastructure as code and programmable networks
Analytical thinking and enjoyment of complex technical challenges
High willingness to learn and interest in new security and network technologies
