The Ärztekasse Cooperative is one of the leading companies in practice administration. It supports doctors, attending physicians, group practices, as well as healthcare providers (physiotherapy, osteopathy, psychology, etc.) with IT industry solutions and comprehensive service packages. The Ärztekasse Cooperative issues over 10 million invoices per year on behalf of its customers.
The accounts receivable service handles all inquiries and concerns from debtors (patients, insurance companies, authorities) in the German-speaking region that arrive after invoicing.
To complement our accounts receivable service team in Bern, we are looking for you as
Team Leader Accounts Receivable Service (m/f)

Main tasks
In this role, you are responsible for the personnel, organizational, and professional leadership of the accounts receivable service team, consisting of 8 employees. This includes organizing the team to ensure smooth processes as well as ensuring flawless information and communication within the team and with other departments.
As team leader, you are also responsible for team and employee development. Furthermore, you actively contribute to process harmonization and optimization and check compliance with standards.
You support the team in operational tasks such as:
- Receiving and processing telephone inquiries
- Processing written inquiries, including setting up installment payments, recording payment stops, and forwarding inquiries to customers
- Checking and processing electronic invoice rejections from insurance companies
- Processing returned mail (undeliverable invoices) and conducting address searches
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a commercial field or as a medical practice assistant with further training in leadership
- Several years of experience in a leadership position
- IT-savvy personality with very good knowledge of MS Office
- Experience in the administration of medical practices or in the health insurance sector is an advantage
- Winning and enthusiastic personality with strong communication skills
- Quick comprehension and networked thinking
- Structured working method as well as planning and organizational skills
- Solution- and service-oriented approach
- Resilience and strong assertiveness
- Integrity and reliability
- Very good German and very good French skills are mandatory
