Senior Technical Risk & Cloud Operations Engineer (80–100%)

Job description:

• Management and tracking of the APO risk portfolio
• Analysis of technical risks in applications, platforms and operational processes
• Support in defining and implementing technical measures to reduce risks
• Tracking of security findings as well as PNA and PCA measures
• Support for product owners and scrum masters on security, risk and compliance topics
• Technical coordination with engineering, architecture, operations and security teams
• Identification of technical vulnerabilities and improvement potentials
• Preparation of technical risks for management and relevant stakeholders
• Support in security assessments and technical reviews
• Promotion of security-by-design and operational excellence in the application environment

About the customer:

In this role, you analyse and manage technical risks within a large application portfolio and work closely with product owners, scrum masters, engineering, architecture, operations and security teams.

Framework conditions:

• Location: Ittigen / Bern
• Workload: 80–100%
• Duration: 12 months
• Home office: up to 2 days per week
• Working hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in operating business-critical applications
• Solid experience in DevOps, IT Operations, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering
• Experience with monitoring and observability solutions
• Good knowledge of modern cloud and application architectures
• Experience with technical security topics
• Good understanding of typical risks in application and cloud environments
• Ability to pragmatically assess technical risks and develop suitable solutions together with engineering teams
• Experience in dealing with security findings and technical improvement measures
• Experience in collaborating with architecture, operations, DevOps and security teams
• Ability to prepare technical topics appropriately for management and stakeholders
• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence

Advantageous:

• Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift or comparable platforms
• Experience in enterprise application operations
• Experience in vulnerability management
• Knowledge in IAM, network security, secrets management or container security
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 or comparable security baselines
• Experience in implementing security and compliance requirements within product teams
• Experience as a senior engineer, technical lead, platform engineer or cloud engineer
