About us
The Dean's Office of the Faculty of Medicine is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bern.
Your tasks
Your main task in this role is the administrative and operational management of the Dean's Office of Studies:
- You participate in the teaching committees of the Faculty of Medicine and perform operational tasks within the framework of the Human Medicine study management
- You have an overall view of the Human Medicine curriculum of the Faculty of Medicine including regulations and study plans
- You contribute to the reform of the Human Medicine curriculum
- You participate in the implementation of projects related to the faculty strategy 2030, especially the implementation of the Human Medicine curriculum reform
- You work closely with the Dean of Teaching
- You lead the staff of the Dean's Office of Studies (team leaders, staff)
- You manage the processes around the planning, recording and collection of teaching services
- You are responsible for capacity planning of internships (University Hospital and external teaching hospitals)
- You participate in the periodic accreditation of the Human Medicine degree programme
Your profile
- You have a completed university degree or a qualification and experience at a similar level
- Ideally, you have experience in the organisation of teaching
- Ideally, you are familiar with the faculty and clinical environment of the Faculty of Medicine
- You have very good organisational skills and think strongly process-oriented
- You have experience in project management
- The high quality of medical studies and its further development is very important to you
- You have very good communication skills, communicate confidently in German and have good English skills
- Ideally, you know the administrative procedures of the university
