Head of Primary School (80-100%)

• You lead the Primary School department and bear the overall operational responsibility for teaching and care at the municipal level.
• You lead the school and day care management teams and ensure a uniform leadership culture across all school districts.
• You steer school development and ensure the efficient use of personnel, spatial, and financial resources.
• You advise the municipal council as the political strategic authority of the primary school and support the department management in preparing the relevant matters.
• You shape the joint development of teaching and care and influence the establishment of a new, unified leadership system between schools, day care centers, administration, and politics.
• You are responsible for school communication as well as fundamental issues of crisis management and prevention.
• You represent the primary school internally and externally and shape the development and maintenance of cooperation with municipal, cantonal, and other stakeholders.
• You have a tertiary education in the field of education and further training in leadership, school management, and/or business administration.
• You bring several years of professional and leadership experience in a larger educational institution or in public administration.
• You know the processes of the primary school and understand the requirements for teaching, care, and organization at the system level.
• You lead clearly, cooperatively, and reliably and have experience in developing and supporting leadership personnel.
• You can classify and further develop complex organizational and pedagogical issues and are experienced in dealing with demanding stakeholders.
• You communicate factually, appropriately for the audience, and have very good German language skills in speaking and writing.
• You are resilient, work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, and keep an overview even in difficult situations.
