Tasks

After successfully completing the EFA programme in about 22-24 months, you will receive a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and the Instrument Rating (IR, frozen ATPL). This allows you to apply for a cockpit position with all LHG airlines and you will then be "cleared for take-off."

This exciting and varied training awaits you:

• Comprehensive theoretical training in subjects such as navigation, meteorology and aviation law
• Practical training in visual flight and instrument flight on single- and twin-engine aircraft
• Intensive simulator training, which prepares you to pilot a jet with a multi-person crew
• Option to take on management roles within the Lufthansa Group

Requirements

• Current DLR certificate (should still be valid for at least 1 year at the time of application) (Info at www.european-flight-academy.com)
• You have a general university entrance qualification/matura/technical college entrance qualification/vocational baccalaureate or similar, if a non-examination admission certificate to a university of applied sciences or a higher technical school is available
• You are an EU citizen or hold a permanent residence permit with unrestricted work permission within the EU (plus Switzerland)
• You speak fluent English (B2)
• You are at least 17 years old
• You meet the requirements for an aviation medical fitness examination (class 1)
