The ABS Foundation has been active since 1999 in Lausanne in the field of harm reduction and survival assistance for drug users. The Foundation manages two reception and safe consumption facilities, Le Passage - ECS and the ECS Antenna, whose general objectives are to promote contact with people who rarely or never use common social and health services, to reduce health risks (transmission of viruses and other infections), and to combat social exclusion.
To complete its team, the ABS Foundation is looking for a:
Social and Health Worker with one of the following profiles: HES Nurse or Social Worker (50% - 80% employment rate)
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and support people actively using substances from a harm reduction perspective;
- Promote collective management of reception areas, safe consumption spaces (ECS), and survival assistance services in accordance with the Foundation’s principles and values;
- Provide individualised support based on a holistic approach to the people concerned;
- Participate in reflection, development, and improvement work of the ABS Foundation’s activities and initiate/support the implementation of internal projects;
- Contribute to the promotion and development of the Foundation’s social or health services;
- Ensure professional collaboration with structures in the regional social and health network.
Desired profile:
- Degree in nursing or social work;
- Motivation to work in a low-threshold access/harm reduction context;
- Good interpersonal skills and management of collective spaces;
- Teamwork spirit;
- Willingness to engage with issues of precariousness, social exclusion, and drug use;
- Experience in a related field is appreciated.
Salary conditions: Salary according to the conditions of the Vaud Social Collective Labour Agreement, then, from 1 January 2027, according to the conditions of the City of Lausanne.
Start date: Immediately or to be agreed
