What to expect

Do you want to help shape, take responsibility and actively further develop our risk culture in sales? Then you are exactly right with us. By expanding our Business Risk Management team in the area of private customers and private banking, we strengthen our First Line of Defence and create a central function at the interface of sales, risk and compliance. For this responsible key role with plenty of scope for design, we are looking for a committed and entrepreneurial-minded leader.

• Building and further developing Business Risk Management in the area of private customers and private banking as well as professional and personnel management of the new department with three employees.
• Central contact point for business risk, control and compliance issues as well as advising managers and sales on demanding questions.
• Leading, developing and enabling the team with clear prioritisation, high quality orientation and efficient collaboration.
• Identifying risks, weaknesses and improvement potentials as well as developing and implementing pragmatic measures, processes and controls.
• Developing practical guidelines, tools and training to strengthen regulatory know-how and risk awareness in sales.
• Close cooperation with compliance, process owners and other relevant stakeholders as well as active participation in cross-departmental projects and developments.
• Representing the interests of Business Risk Management and promoting constructive, solution-oriented collaboration between business and control functions.

What you bring

• Several years of leadership and project management experience, ideally in a cantonal bank environment, as well as solid experience in risk management or compliance.
• Good knowledge of the Swiss banking and regulatory environment as well as experience in developing processes and successfully implementing them.
• Enjoyment in building new things, taking responsibility and actively shaping change.
• Clear, committed and empathetic leadership personality with the ability to bring together different interests and provide orientation.
• Strong communication and mediation skills as well as confident appearance in interdisciplinary teams.
• Structured and networked thinking combined with pragmatism, initiative and strong implementation skills.
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as confident use of Excel, PowerPoint and Confluence; Avaloq knowledge is an advantage.
