Your new role
In this position, you plan and manage fire brigade training holistically for professional and militia fire brigades. You further develop training concepts and ensure that our emergency personnel understand risks, assess them correctly, and handle them professionally. Together with your training team, you ensure that training is effective. You can expect a broad and varied range of tasks. In this role, you also serve as an on-call officer during standby duty.
The head of fire brigade training reports directly to the commander, is a member of the command, and contributes the training strategy to the overall development of the fire brigade. They are responsible for fire brigade training and its quality and work closely with external training institutions. In close coordination with the operational areas, they ensure that training is consistently aligned with real operational requirements.
This position is for you if
- You understand training as the key to operational readiness and management and want to actively shape it.
- You have several years of leadership experience in the fire service.
- You can plan and coordinate complex training landscapes.
- You want to develop people and promote a uniform training culture.
- You have completed fire service-specific training at officer level and have several years of leadership experience in core and specialised fire service tasks.
- You can demonstrate solid didactic qualifications and experience in adult education.
- You have a confident understanding of operational reality, tactics, and hazard development.
- You are confident in planning and managing complex training and exercise projects.
- Strategic thinking, organisational skills, leadership and communication competence, as well as high resilience, are among your strengths.
- A residence within a maximum radius of 30 minutes (residential area) is not an obstacle for you for this position.
