Amcor Flexibles Rorschach AG is a company of Amcor, one of the world’s largest suppliers of responsible packaging solutions. With around 300 employees, we refine aluminium foils and other materials into recyclable packaging materials.

We are looking for an Environmental Specialist (m/f/d) for our EHS - Environment, Health and Safety department, to start immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Ensuring compliance with environmental, chemical and safety regulations
• Contact person for environmental authorities
• Leading and participating in projects to improve environmental and occupational safety
• Implementing environmental requirements from authorities and the corporate headquarters
• Monitoring legal requirements and deriving measures
• Supporting and conducting audits as well as maintaining the environmental management system (e.g. ISO 14001)
• Preparing environmental key figures, reports and contributions for audits and management reviews
• Supporting the site with environmentally relevant issues
• Conducting internal training and raising employee awareness

Your profile

• Completed studies in the field of environment, technology, chemistry or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) in an industrial environment
• Sound knowledge of Swiss environmental law
• Know-how in areas such as waste, emissions, energy and resource management as well as hazardous substances/chemicals, radiation protection and decarbonisation
• Experience with environmental management systems and dealing with authorities
• High sense of responsibility and the ability to mediate between regulatory requirements and operational needs
• Good knowledge of German and English
