Archivist at the Roman Site and Museum of Avenches (SMRA)

As an archivist, you actively contribute to the preservation and transmission of the documentary heritage of the Roman Site and Museum of Avenches (SMRA). You manage the archives throughout their lifecycle, develop research tools, and ensure a quality service to users while supporting the implementation of the archiving policy.

• Ensure the processing, packaging, and conservation of the SMRA documentation.

• Manage archival records, research instruments, and the document lifecycle.

• Provide information/responses to user requests.

• Participate in the design and application of the archive management policy within the framework of the Archiving Act (LArch).

• Maintain and develop relationships with all internal and external partners.

• Master's degree in archaeology or history.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in archiving.

• Proficiency in common IT tools and new technologies related to the field.

• English and German, level B2.

• Interest in Roman Antiquity.

• Knowledge of the LArch and its implementing regulations, knowledge of the directives issued by the Vaud Cantonal Archives.

• Good knowledge of Latin is an asset.

• Customer orientation.

• Organisation and time management skills.

• Good writing skills.

• Analytical and synthesis skills.
