The Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. As the largest main department of the Cantonal Police Zurich, the Airport Police controls the Schengen external border and enforces migration law. It combats crime at the airport and protects vulnerable airlines and passengers. Furthermore, it monitors the airport area and prevents unauthorised persons from entering the Critical Part. Head of HR Consulting Airport Police 80 - 100%

Your tasks

• Leadership and further development of the HR consulting team with four employees as well as active participation in operational HR consulting
• Advising and supporting the approximately 1,200 employees of the Cantonal Police at the airport and their line managers on personnel and employment law matters, as well as accompanying challenging personnel situations
• Assuming the HR Business Partner role for the top management level in strategic and demanding personnel-related issues
• Early identification of personnel-relevant developments and risks as well as developing viable solutions together with the managers
• Ensuring proactive and timely information to the superior HR management about essential personnel topics and developments
• Participation in management and specialist meetings, representing the HR perspective and actively contributing to leadership and decision-making processes
• Further development of HR consulting and promotion of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Close cooperation with recruitment, HR services and payroll, ensuring professional collaboration at the interfaces

Your profile

• Tertiary-level qualification, ideally as an HR specialist with a Swiss federal certificate or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable role in public administration or in an organisation where the personnel law of the Canton of Zurich and its ordinances apply (advantageous)
• Service-oriented and capable of discerning the needs of different stakeholders and developing beneficial solutions from them
• Experience in project management is an advantage
• Resilient, discreet personality with assertiveness and high social competence
• Confident command of German, both spoken and written
