The Thierstein district in the Solothurn Schwarzbubenland comprises 12 municipalities with around 16,000 inhabitants. The Thierstein Social Services are responsible for the provision of statutory social assistance, voluntary social counselling, as well as for managing child and adult protection mandates.

Economic and personal assistance according to social legislationAdvice and support for clients of various nationalities in different life situationsBudget calculations, payment of material support and assertion of priority benefits according to social law and regulationsMediation in education, employment and integration programmesCooperation with professionals, social institutions and authorities

Your profile

You are an empathetic person who impresses with flexibility, resilience and positive thinking. You also have

A degree in Social Work or equivalent trainingExperience in statutory social work as well as sound knowledge of social assistance legislation and social insuranceEnjoyment of responsibility and complex situations, networked thinking, independent actionSense of economy and enjoyment of challenging quality workKnowledge of MS Office programmes (knowledge of KLIBnet an advantage)Efficient and accurate file management
