Swissmedic is the authorisation and surveillance authority for therapeutic products in Switzerland. We ensure that all therapeutic products used in Switzerland are of impeccable quality, safe and effective. In doing so, we directly contribute to the protection of the health of humans and animals.

Digital transformation plays a central role in our activities. Our agile development teams focused on SAFe are implementing a modern portal that replaces existing solutions, integrates new operational needs, and serves as a modular platform for internal and external stakeholders. To strengthen our teams, we are recruiting a committed and technically experienced person for the following position:

Software Architect (80-100%)

Your tasks: where you will be involved

• Technical responsibility for one of our development teams within an Agile Release Train (ART)
• Active participation in establishing a sustainable and modern architecture for the portal, in close collaboration with the system architect
• Development of solution concepts, participation in architectural decisions and promotion of the architectural vision
• Ensuring compliance with architectural principles, security and quality requirements at the team level

Your profile: what you bring

• Solid experience in software architecture and as a Senior Developer
• Expertise in a modern and agile environment using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and cloud-native development based on Azure services
• Analytical thinking, strong conceptual and practical implementation skills, with a high degree of autonomy
• Team leadership skills combined with good manual engineering practices
• University degree (University of Applied Sciences or university), preferably in computer science, business informatics or a related field
• Fluent German (C1) and good command of English
• Certifications (e.g. in iSAQB-F/A architecture or SAFe for Architects) are desirable
