The Bostadel Correctional Facility is an independent public-law institution within the concordat of Northwestern and Central Switzerland with its own legal personality. It is operated by the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Zug and has 108 places in regular custody and 12 places in a security unit. Around 90 employees work at the Bostadel Correctional Facility, ensuring security within the institution and contributing to the meaningful occupation and resocialisation of the 120 inmates. To strengthen our team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed supervisor or caretaker (m/f) 80-100% in the field of metalworking/assembly.

Your tasks

• Guidance, care and supervision of inmates in their daily work
• Setting up, accompanying and monitoring production and customer orders on CNC machines
• Ensuring quality, deadlines and occupational safety
• Incoming and outgoing goods inspections
• Participation in internal operational processes and organisational tasks
• Promoting a structured and appreciative working environment
• After thorough introduction, additional shifts in the evening, night and weekend service (regulated shift work)
• Participation in the institution's security and supervisory service

Your profile

• Completed apprenticeship as CNC mechanic/polymechanic
• Experience in milling, industrial production/assembly is an advantage
• Enjoyment of practical work and dealing with people
• Calm demeanour, assertiveness and high social competence
• Resilience as well as responsible and reliable working style
• Willingness to train as a correctional officer
• Good German language skills and PC user knowledge
• Impeccable character and driving licence category B
• Minimum age 30 years
