Team Leader Export (80%) (m/f/d)

Role:
You take responsibility for the operational and professional coordination of the export business. You are an important contact person for complex foreign trade issues, support your team, and ensure the further development of efficient and compliant processes.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the operational management of the export area and specifically develop existing workflows.
You coordinate international customer orders and ensure correct shipping and customs processing.
You review export control requirements, goods classifications, and international sanctions regulations.
You organise necessary export permits, certifications, and trade documents.
You are the central contact person for authorities, freight forwarders, as well as international customers and business partners.
You prepare export calculations and quotations and support the selection of suitable transport solutions.
You clarify import, customs, and cross-border VAT issues.
You analyse international goods movements and optimise processes regarding costs, quality, and compliance with legal requirements.
Qualifications:
You have further training as a foreign trade specialist with a federal certificate or foreign trade manager with a federal diploma or a comparable qualification in international trade.
You bring several years of experience in export processing as well as leadership experience.
You possess sound knowledge of customs procedures, export control, and international shipping logistics.
You are preferably familiar with controlled goods, dual-use regulations, and sanctions checks.
You ideally have knowledge of import procedures and cross-border VAT issues.
You convince through leadership strength, entrepreneurial thinking, customer orientation, communication skills, as well as an independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
You have confident German language skills and good English skills; French is an advantage.
