The boarding school of the Zurich Dance Academy is a living, residential, and leisure space for around 47 national and international pupils aged 12 to 18, who, due to geographical distance, cannot remain in their previous environment during their training to become professional stage dancers (EFZ). The boarding school offers them a safe and appropriate educational environment for their personal, academic, and professional development.
From 1 December 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a:
Social Pedagogue 80%, (m/f/d)
Your tasks
As part of a committed and experienced social pedagogical team, you are responsible for accompanying, advising, and supporting performance-oriented young people. You take on the role of key worker for some residents and are responsible for case management. Regular communication with the parents and the social environment of the young people is an important part of your work. Care is provided in shifts, including weekend and night duties, with a weekly on-call duty in regular rotation. Administrative and organisational tasks complete your varied field of activity.
Your profile
You have a completed diploma from a higher technical school or university of applied sciences in Social Work or Social Pedagogy. Ideally, you have also completed further training as a practical trainer. This position is aimed at professionals who have practical experience in the social pedagogical care of young people and preferably also experience in supervising students of Social Work or Social Pedagogy. Your interest in elite sport and your understanding of performance-oriented dancers are advantageous and support you in this role. We place great value on team spirit and pioneering spirit. Even in challenging situations, you remain calm and maintain an overview. Appreciative communication and humour are essential to us. Your ability for self-reflection as well as a healthy resilience are also of central importance. Openness to an intercultural environment is indispensable. In addition, we require good language skills in English and German.
