The Civil Engineering Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of the cantonal roads as well as water engineering and slow traffic in Graubünden. We also take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads within the canton. The canton’s road infrastructure includes over 1,450 civil engineering structures, including bridges at dizzying heights of up to 90 metres and tunnels up to 3 kilometres long. The challenges posed by the nature of our mountainous canton in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. We are looking for the Road Maintenance Department in District 6 Ilanz from 1 January 2027 or by agreement a road maintenance worker
Your area of responsibility
- Carrying out road maintenance work in a small maintenance team
- Summer and winter service
- Clearing up and repair work after accidents or natural events
- Checking the condition of roads and road facilities
- Providing on-call service (summer and winter)
What we expect from you
- Completed vocational training in the construction trade
- Manual dexterity
- Physical resilience
- Enjoyment of teamwork
- Driving licence category C or willingness to obtain it
- Knowledge of Romansh is an advantage
