The LAVEBA Cooperative is the Eastern Swiss trade and service provider behind well-known brands such as LANDI, AGROLA, UFA and LAVEBA Shop, as well as other companies related to agriculture, including the wholesale trade in fruit and vegetables. For over 125 years, we have been at the service of our members from agriculture and customers in our region. For our subsidiaries active in the fruit and vegetable wholesale trade, Caviezel Giovanettoni AG in Arbon and Kesseli AG in Gams, we are seeking, as part of succession planning and by arrangement, an entrepreneurial and strong leadership personality as

The following tasks are part of your responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the operational, strategic and economic management of two subsidiaries in the fruit and vegetable trade based in Arbon and Gams with more than 70 full-time positions
- Responsibility for sales, profit, budget, multi-year planning and achieving company goals
- Ensuring market-oriented procurement, a competitive product range as well as the highest quality and freshness standards
- Initiation and implementation of optimisation, digitalisation and growth projects
- Leadership, promotion and further development of the management team and employees with a focus on collaboration in line with LAVEBA's values
- Implementation and further development of the corporate strategy in close cooperation with the Board of Directors and the LAVEBA Group
- Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with customers, producers, suppliers and other business partners
- Management of sales and marketing activities to strengthen the market position
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, internal guidelines and corporate values
- Transparent reporting to the Board of Directors as well as active participation as a board member in both subsidiaries
- Support in strategic further developments within the corporate group
Your profile:
- Higher business education (FH, HF or equivalent), ideally complemented by sound knowledge in the fruit and vegetable trade or gastronomy
- Several years of successful leadership experience at management or executive level with comprehensive responsibility for results and budget in companies of comparable size and complexity
- You are an approachable and convincing personality with high social competence, credibility and integrity. In a 24-hour operation, you are close to the employees, understand their concerns and manage to inspire people for common goals. This includes regular insights into all shifts to know the different requirements and challenges of the operation first-hand. Your hands-on mentality and role model function enjoy broad acceptance in the company.
- Strong leadership and social skills with a cooperative leadership style that connects people, develops teams and enables shared success
- Proven success in the further development of companies, expansion of sales and market position
- Experience in implementing digitalisation, transformation and process optimisation projects (especially ERP and CRM systems), ideally complemented by logistics knowledge
- Good understanding of governance and leadership structures
- Entrepreneurially thinking and acting personality with negotiation skills as well as the ability to recognise customer needs and derive economic, efficient and sustainable solutions from them
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as pronounced communication skills at all hierarchy levels
