Legal and Contract Specialist (40% – 100%)

IT’IS, together with its partner organizations Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG), ZMT Zurich MedTech AG (ZMT), and TI Solutions AG (TI Solutions), form the Zurich43 alliance. Z43’s dedicated mission is to expand the knowledge and technology for (i) characterization, optimization, and application of the electromagnetic (EM) near-field, (ii) predictive modeling of interactions between physical agents and physiology in complex anatomies, and (iii) medical applications.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on legal professional to manage and support contractual and corporate documentation in an international research and technology environment. The position covers legal matters across all Z43 organizations and serves as the interface between the researchers and the external legal counsel.

Your challenges:

• Review, draft, revise, and coordinate contracts, NDAs, lease agreements, service agreements, and other legal documents
• Support corporate matters and maintain related documentation
• Handle documentation for scientific collaborations, including research, project, data, and material agreements
• Coordinate negotiations, approvals, signatures, and document records with internal and external stakeholders
• Work closely with colleagues across the Z43 organization and take ownership of reviewing, drafting, preparing, and managing a wide range of legal and contractual documents
• Develop and maintain templates, standard clauses, and efficient contract processes

Your strengths:

• Several years of experience in a paralegal, contract management, legal operations, or comparable role
• Experience with agreements in research, technology, healthcare, academia, or a similar environment
• Strong practical knowledge of Swiss contract and commercial law, experience in an international environment; cross-border experience is a plus
• Sound judgement, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
• Able to work independently with complex documents and manage matters through to completion
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the highest quality standard of work
• Self-motivation, good organizational and communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, friendly personality, and team-spirit
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, to work independently in a fast-paced setting, and to meet tight deadlines
• Commitment to effectively respond to the needs of partners and customers
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), ability to communicate in German is a plus
