Would you like to apply your many years of experience as an architect where your professional assessment counts? As a construction consultant, you assess state- and fund-subsidised construction projects for the Canton of Zurich and advise the commissioning specialised directorates and offices, municipalities and private builders on demanding construction-related and construction-economic issues. In doing so, you combine your experience from planning and realisation with a confident eye for costs, quality and appropriate solutions.
Your Tasks
- You assess a variety of construction projects from public and private builders – for example, special schools or children’s and youth homes – from a structural and economic perspective.
- Based on the applicable regulations, you examine the prerequisites for state contributions as well as contributions from the lottery and cultural funds in a multi-stage process, thereby creating well-founded decision-making bases appropriate to the phase.
- You determine the spatial suitability of private schools, provide information to municipalities, private sponsors and specialised directorates on subsidised construction projects, and promote the implementation of barrier-free construction also within the Office of Building Construction.
- You contribute your experience from planning and realisation, critically question solutions and suggest viable alternatives.
- You document your assessments in well-founded statements and expert reports that are appropriate to the level and comprehensible.
Your Profile
- You have a completed degree in architecture (ETH/FH) and many years of professional experience in the planning and realisation of demanding, preferably also public, construction projects.
- Thanks to your broad experience across all project phases, you assess structural solutions holistically and with a confident eye for quality, appropriateness and feasibility.
- You bring sound knowledge in construction cost planning and assessment and understand the essential real estate economic contexts.
- You competently advise different stakeholders, communicate appropriately for the target audience and represent your professional assessment convincingly and comprehensibly.
- You have a confident command of German and can also precisely express complex matters in writing.
You choose us,
because you want to apply your many years of experience in a versatile expert role and thus directly influence the quality of subsidised construction projects. As part of a small specialist team in the staff of the Office of Building Construction, you enjoy a high degree of professional freedom and gain insight into a wide variety of construction projects in the Canton of Zurich. At the same time, you benefit from a broad network and professional exchange with specialists within the Office of Building Construction.
