To strengthen the seven-member development team, we are looking for a committed, experienced leader who wants to help shape the future of highly precise machines.
In this responsible key position, you will take on the technical and personnel leadership of the mechanical development team. At the same time, you will actively participate in the development of the next generation of highly precise machine tools and make a significant contribution to successfully bringing innovative technologies to market maturity and implementing them in practice.
Your tasks
Leadership (approx. 40%)
- Technical and personnel leadership as well as further development of the mechanical development team
- Promotion, coaching and further development of employees
- Resource, capacity and deployment planning
- Ensuring compliance with quality, schedule and cost targets
- Close cooperation with project management as well as sales, software, system development and production departments
- Conducting employee interviews and target agreements
Development (approx. 60%)
- Development and design of new and further development of existing highly precise machine tools and assemblies
- Preparation of manufacturing documents and technical documentation
- Development of innovative solutions to secure the technological leading position
- Support of prototypes until successful series maturity
- Conducting technical analyses, tests and optimisations
Your profile
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering (FH/ETH) or a comparable technical education
- Initial leadership experience advantageous
- Experience in the development of machine tools
- Ideally knowledge in hard fine machining
- Solid experience in the design and layout of highly precise assemblies and drive systems
- Very good CAD skills, preferably in SolidWorks
- Good knowledge of modern development methods (e.g. VDI 2221, Design-to-Cost or Design-for-Manufacture)
- Knowledge of the machinery directive; SAP experience advantageous
- Analytical, solution-oriented and entrepreneurial personality with high initiative and strong team orientation
