Ostermundigen, with around 19,000 inhabitants, is one of the largest municipalities in the canton of Bern.

The Social Department is divided into the areas of social assistance, adult and child protection, generations and neighbourhood work, as well as specialised services. For the Info Network Generations (ING) office in the Generations and Neighbourhood Work area, we are looking for a Co-Head of Info Network Generations with a focus on 60+, 60% from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

Time for a professional change?

• You will lead the office in terms of expertise, personnel and organisation in collaboration with the Co-Head of Info Network Generations Early Childhood.
• You are responsible for designing the offerings and networking actors in the area of ageing, as well as for the further development of neighbourhood work.
• You politically anchor these two areas and support strategic future planning.
• You work across generations together with the Co-Head of Early Childhood.

Can you answer the following questions with YES?

• Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and additional training in Gerontology?
• Do you have professional experience in social work with a focus on ageing and already possess knowledge in outreach neighbourhood work?
• Do you have leadership experience and hold corresponding further training?
