What you will do here

Conduct professionally qualified teaching in the Bachelor and Master programs as well as in the continuing education courses of the Department of Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering in the field of timber engineering
Acquire and carry out R&D projects, research mandates and service contracts in the area of your own expertise within the scope of the timber structures specialist group of the Institute for Timber Construction
Show presence in public within the specialist field and represent the university

The title Professor*in can be used provided the requirements according to the BFH personnel regulations are met.

What you ideally bring with you

University degree in civil engineering, timber engineering or wood technology, each with a specialization in timber construction
Adequate research experience, a doctorate is advantageous
Several years of non-academic practical experience in timber engineering
Communication and teamwork skills, pronounced initiative
Certificate in university didactics or willingness to obtain one
Very good German and good English skills, good French skills are advantageous
