About the job

Ostermundigen, with around 19,000 inhabitants, is one of the largest municipalities in the canton of Bern.

The Social Department is divided into the areas of social assistance, adult and child protection, generations and neighbourhood work, and specialised services. To support the specialised services area, we are looking for a clerk from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement limited until 31 December 2027

Time for a professional change?

• You are motivated to relieve our social workers through close collaboration
• You independently handle a variety of administrative tasks. These include processing all health insurance matters, scholarship applications, conducting enquiries with various agencies and our clients. Furthermore, you prepare social assistance certificates, prepare tax waiver applications, and perform many other administrative tasks for the benefit of our clients.

Can you answer the following questions with YES?

• You have completed training as a commercial clerk EFZ or an equivalent qualification and ideally already have professional experience in a social service?
• You are resilient, reliable, trustworthy, and do not lose track even in hectic times, and you have a healthy sense of humour.
• You have good knowledge of the MS Office suite
• You are skilled in dealing with people?
