The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) is a specialised court. It ensures the protection of adults who are unable to obtain the necessary support themselves, and the welfare of children and young people whose parents are unable to care for them adequately.

Specialist Secretary / Specialist Secretary Legal Service, 60-100 %

What to expect

• Legal support for the adjudicative activities of the Child and Adult Protection Authority, especially participation in instruction and decision-making
• Fact-finding, minute-taking and independent conduct of hearings
• Drafting of orders, decisions and statements
• Contact with official bodies and clients
• Providing information on topics related to child and adult protection
• Processing and clarifying legal issues

What you bring

• Completed legal university degree (Licentiate, MLaw)
• Professional experience at a court or a child and adult protection authority is an advantage
• Good knowledge of civil and procedural law
• Confident written and oral expression
• Independent, precise, structured and efficient working style
• Affinity for collaboration in an interdisciplinary team
• Empathy and understanding in dealing with people in difficult life situations
• Discretion, reliability and resilience
