Strategic Buyer 100% (m/f/d)
Our client is an established Swiss trading and service company with a broad range of offerings for the construction and industrial sectors. The company operates throughout Switzerland and combines many years of experience with a versatile product and service portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Management of the assigned product group portfolio including assortment development.
Development and implementation of long-term procurement concepts.
Determination of purchasing volumes and planning of appropriate procurement cycles.
Negotiation of framework agreements, prices and payment terms.
Support of international suppliers and development of additional sources of supply.
Conducting cost comparisons and value analyses to improve purchasing conditions.
Monitoring supplier performance in terms of quality, costs and punctuality.
Coordination with sales, logistics and purchasing management on operational and strategic procurement issues.
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in the metal or steel sector.
Experience in international procurement, especially with Asian markets.
Commercial apprenticeship with business management further training.
Sound knowledge in supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
Good MS Office skills and ideally experience with SAP MM.
Analytical skills and a strong understanding of cost structures.
Independent working style with consistent goal and result orientation.
Very good German skills and good English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
