Shiptec AG is looking immediately or by arrangement for a technically experienced individual as a Mechanic in Shipbuilding / Support for Vocational Training, 80-100%, permanent.Shiptec AG is a subsidiary of SGV Holding AG. With its engineering office and a shipyard, it provides technical services in the areas of ship design and engineering, alternative propulsion systems for ships, shipbuilding, ship overhauls, conversions and ship maintenance in a national and international environment.
Your area of responsibility
- Carrying out service, overhaul and repair work on ship technical systems in the mechanical field, for example on engines and generators, shaft systems of motor ships as well as steam technical systems of steamships
- Maintenance and repair of cooling and hydraulic systems
- Deployment on external construction sites and shipyards within the scope of projects, overhauls and service work
- Assisting in the training of our apprentices as polymechanics EFZ in cooperation with the responsible vocational trainer
- Systematic fault finding and troubleshooting on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems
- Working with diagnostic systems from various manufacturers such as Scania, Volvo, JCB etc.
- Performing simple turning and milling work on conventional machines
- Participation in cross-departmental projects
Requirements profile
- Completed training as an industrial mechanic EFZ or polymechanic EFZ
- Interest and enjoyment in supporting and accompanying our apprentices; completed vocational trainer training is an advantage
- Willingness to undertake external assignments, if necessary with overnight stays
- Excellent German, good English skills, additional languages are an advantage
- Joy and enthusiasm for ship technology and technical challenges
- Team-oriented, reliable and socially competent personality
- Open and loyal attitude
- Willingness for professional and personal development
