Your new tasks

• Evaluation and approval of COTS hardware: You are our expert when it comes to evaluating, testing, and approving Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware for our OT infrastructures. Your decisions secure the foundation of our systems!

• Design, further development, and operation of OT infrastructures (laboratory): This includes, in particular, server systems, virtualisation environments, and Industrial IoT components, which you optimise with your hardware knowledge.

• Installation and patch management of operating systems: You take care of the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems such as Windows and Linux on our OT hardware to ensure smooth operation.

• Planning and implementation of OT architectures considering security, availability, and compliance requirements

• Close collaboration with engineering and IT teams to integrate systems and applications

• Analysis of existing OT environments and identification of optimisation potentials

• Implementation and further development of cybersecurity measures in the OT environment (e.g., network segmentation, zero-trust approaches)

• Management of external partners and suppliers as well as participation in projects throughout the entire lifecycle

• Creation of technical documentation and support in incident and problem management

Your profile

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, automation technology, or completed vocational training in a relevant field combined with solid professional experience

• Extensive experience in OT, industrial IT, automation, or production infrastructures

• Profound knowledge in hardware evaluation and integration as well as operating systems such as Windows and Linux

• Experience in implementing cybersecurity concepts in the OT environment is an advantage

• Analytical and structured working style combined with a high quality standard

• Communicative personality with the ability to convey complex matters appropriately to the target audience

• Very good German and good English skills
