Cloud Platform Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Our partner is a family-run company headquartered in Switzerland and market leader for automated personal and goods protection on busy railways in Europe. Railway automation and highly available radio systems complement the product range and market segments.
The company employs about 210 people and operates in several countries with locations in Switzerland, Germany, England, Italy, Austria and Spain – as well as sales partners in Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, Poland, France, Portugal and Morocco, carefully selecting its partners to responsibly fulfil its security-related tasks.
Role:
A newly established business field around IoT-based cloud solutions needs people who think about architecture and not just implement it. As a Cloud Platform Security Engineer, you develop a secure cloud platform for monitoring, predictive maintenance and geofencing. You work in an interdisciplinary team and bring in security-by-design from the start. Scope for design is not a promise here, but part of everyday life.
Responsibilities:
You develop and operate the secure cloud platform together with the team
You implement scalable backend services, interfaces (APIs) and integrations
Furthermore, you connect IoT devices, OT systems and IT platforms efficiently and securely
In addition, you anchor security requirements throughout the entire lifecycle
You also further develop data-based functions and new use cases
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science, software engineering or a comparable qualification
You bring experience with cloud and IoT platform architectures
You are experienced in software development, for example with Java and Spring
Additionally, you have know-how in cloud and OT cybersecurity as well as in the security lifecycle
Furthermore, you are familiar with secure development, hardening as well as vulnerability, patch and incident management
You also think systemically, work hands-on and understand data models and data flows
