For our demanding corporate and service division in Basel we are looking for you as an experienced leader to head our technical service organisation as Lead Corporate Event Operations (a) 80-100%

Your role

You lead a team of up to 15 employees from the areas of Technical Event Production, Virtual/Webcast Services as well as AV and network infrastructure.

You ensure that our technical specialists use their skills optimally and professionally support our customers. In doing so, you combine technical understanding with leadership, organisational talent and a strong service orientation.

As the central contact person for our demanding contractual partner, you represent our technical organisation confidently and solution-oriented. You keep an overview even in the event of disruptions, short-term changes and differing expectations and find practical solutions together with your team.

Tasks:

• Leadership and further development of up to 15 employees from various technical specialist areas
• Ensuring a reliable, high-quality and customer-oriented technical operation
• Management of resources, priorities and operational services
• Professional handling of disruptions, escalations and short-term changes
• Further development of standards, processes and technical services
• Assessment of technical contexts, risks and impacts on quality, availability and operational safety
• Close cooperation with the customer, the project and fixed installation department and external partners
• Development of solutions that consider customer needs, technical possibilities, available resources and costs
• Promotion of a strong service and customer orientation within the team
• Continuous improvement of service quality, efficiency and customer experience

Requirements:

• Several years of leadership experience with personnel responsibility in a technical or operational environment
• Solid professional experience in event technology, corporate AV, technical event production, broadcast/webcast, meeting technology, technical services or a comparable environment
• Good technical understanding to assess contexts, risks and impacts on operations
• Experience in managing resources, priorities and operational services
• Strong service and customer orientation as well as a professional appearance
• Enjoyment in developing technical specialists into professional service partners
• Decisiveness, reliability and calmness even in demanding situations
• Entrepreneurial thinking and understanding of quality, efficiency, resources and costs
• Confident use of Microsoft 365 and digital tools
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
