Team Leader Payroll / Payroll 80–100 %
For the Payroll/BPO team (Business Process Outsourcing), we are seeking on behalf an experienced and committed leader who takes responsibility for the payroll of several client mandates with a focus on the temporary staffing business. You will work closely with clients and ensure that their employees are paid correctly and on time and that all legal requirements are met. At the same time, you actively shape the further development and digitalisation of payroll processes as well as the targeted use of AI.
What you will achieve:
- You lead and develop a team of payroll specialists – from recruitment to further development.
- You are responsible for the correct, timely, and collective labour agreement-compliant payroll of various client mandates.
- You ensure compliance with legal requirements in payroll, especially in the areas of social insurance, withholding tax, and VAT.
- You handle complex payroll special cases and provide advisory support to clients and internal contacts.
- You are responsible for accounts receivable and work closely with the financial accounting department.
- You accompany audits and inspections by authorities and auditors.
- You actively drive digitalisation and the use of AI to optimise payroll processes.
- You support the onboarding of new clients and ensure smooth processes even during weekly payroll runs.
What you bring:
- Several years of professional experience in payroll administration and/or accounting, ideally in the personnel services industry
- Federal diploma in human resources/payroll or a comparable qualification (e.g., degree in business administration/HR)
- Sound knowledge of social insurance, tax, and labour law
- Strong leadership skills and enjoyment in motivating and developing a team
- Organisational talent and the ability to maintain an overview even under time pressure
- Very good communication and social skills in German and English
- Good IT understanding as well as confident MS Office and payroll software skills
- Enjoyment in using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot to make routine tasks more efficient
Advantageous:
- Experience in the BPO environment or temporary staffing business
- Good French language skills, spoken and written
