School Office
The Teaching and Care department is looking for reinforcement for the newly created position with immediate effect or by arrangement.
Tasks
- You keep the numbers on track: From budgeting and financial statements to account assignments and accruals to rebookings – you reliably and legally manage the financial processes in collaboration with the dossier managers.
- You turn numbers into decision-making bases: You prepare reports and key figures, shedding light on the financial situation.
- You accompany projects to their goal: Project and credit accounting are part of your field of play, as is the financial support of various initiatives.
- You are the hub: As a competent contact person, you answer questions, check invoices and support internal as well as external partners.
- You think ahead: You question and optimise existing processes, simplify structures and help develop digital tools and reporting – especially concerning the finances of day schools.
Profile
- Number expert with know-how: Commercial basic training with further education in business administration (HF/FH level, specialising in Finance/Controlling)
- Analytical mind: Sound knowledge in finance and controlling as well as experience in project management
- Excel expert with a flair for structure: Outstanding Excel skills, reliable, efficient and precise working style
- Organisational talent with team spirit: Very good organisational and coordination skills, appropriate communication at all levels and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Thoughtful personality with a desire to shape: Initiative, independence, resilience and a strong service orientation

The School Office is a service department within the School and Sports Department of the City of Zurich. The Teaching and Care department supports the school authorities and the public schools of the City of Zurich in school and teaching development, inclusive support, cultural offerings, the implementation and further development of day schools, as well as early support.
